Sports Massage Chertsey

Chiropractic Led Sports Massage

Massage therapy is designed to treat soft tissue injuries and massage therapists will target muscular problems. Our Chiropractors and Massage therapists work closely together. Having a chiropractic-led massage can help to relieve pain caused by muscle tension and knots, and it can help to heal pulled and strained muscles, tendons, and ligaments too. In addition to smoothing muscles and alleviating pain, chiropractic-led massage therapy can also be relaxing and help to reduce everyday stress.

What Type Of Massage Do I Need?

This is a common question and not one you need to know the answer to before you book. At your first appointment with our massage therapist, you will receive a mini consultation to discuss your reasons for booking. If you are already a patient, then your Chiropractor will liaise directly with your massage therapist to discuss your case. You will receive the right type of chiropractic led massage for you as an individual.

Chiropractic And Massage – A Winning Combination

  • Chiropractic treatment and massage therapy work very well together.
  • Chiropractors can work wonders on rebalancing the alignment of the
spine as well as relaxing muscles and restoring normal nerve function.
  • Sometimes the body can be so stiff that it tries to resist the Chiropractic
    adjustments.

Having a professional chiropractic led massage will help to relax any muscle tightness and spasm and help the chiropractor’s correction. Muscles move joints, while ligaments and fascia support them. If an area of spinal stiffness with a lot of tension in the surrounding muscles is adjusted without addressing the soft tissue problem, the tight muscles and shortened fascia can then pull on the spinal joints making them stiffen up again and the pain may return.

Massage is useful for treating people that are under constant stress physically, as well as mentally.

See our Blog: The benefits of combining chiropractic care and sports massage therapy for further information regarding combined Chiropractic and Massage care.

Chiropractic-led massage can be used as a stand-alone therapy or combined with Chiropractic treatment. We also offer massage therapy to those who don’t currently see our Chiropractors.
